Hi everyone, it's Becky! I just wanted to write a quick post about my latest product! After finding a lot of parking lots solely focusing on each Houghton Mifflin Journeys lesson, I came to the conclusion that I needed something different! I wanted something that allowed my students to review words learned from the entire unit (30 school days). So I decided to make a High Frequency Word Parking Lot that focused on all five lessons in each unit. It acts as an end of the unit review. (I will be creating more for Units 2-6!) You can find it in my Wim's Winners TPT store. (Clicking on the picture will take you right to the product!) I also included directions for how to play the game, as well as directions for assembling the parking lot board! I even had Greg try to assemble one just to make sure it was easy enough for any teacher to put together in just a few minutes. It took him 3 minutes! Not too bad! Be on the lookout for more parking lots in the future! Have a great week!

Hi everyone, it's Becky! I'm linking up with Farley from Oh' Boy 4th Grade! So here it is! Listening: We cloth diaper, so we do diaper wash pretty frequently. Now that Urban is potty training and only wearing diapers at naptime and bedtime (PTL!), we wash diapers every 3 days. Cloth diapering was undoubtedly one of the best parenting decisions we've made. It was better for our boys (no chemical rashes), our wallets, and mother nature (disposable diapers take 500 years to decompose in a landfill!). Our favorite diapers are Bumgenius 4.0's with snaps. Loving: Grayson has been having a hard time getting comfortable at bedtime and falling asleep. So we went to the store to look for just a regular pillow to put a pillowcase on, when low and behold we found "the one!" Of course the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would help him sleep better! I just had to take a picture and send it to Greg! Doesn't he look so happy?! Thinking: So in addition to our TMNT obsession, Grayson loves Transformer's Rescue Bots. (For those of you not familiar with these guys, they are a more kid-friendly version of Transformers with a civil services in mind) Gray's favorite character is Heatwave, a Firetruck transformer, and wants to be this guy for Halloween. So when he saw this picture on Pinterest, we knew we had our work cut out for us! Wanting: It never fails that one or both of the boys are sick at the beginning of the school year. This year, it was Urban's turn. On Thursday he was sent home with what we thought was just a cold. After his nap, he was wheezing, so we took him into the doctors. He was diagnosed with cold-induced asthma. Since we have gone through this with Gray, it wasn't anything new, but you still hate seeing your little ones sick. Here he is doing his "dragon" (nebulizer). We're hoping this week will be uneventful and healthy for both boys! Needing: Since Urban was sick, he was also on Prednisone this weekend. If you've never seen a toddler on that stuff, then you are lucky! They become little crazy monsters (even more than they already are)! So, I could use a little more time to get all of my projects completed!
3 Trips: The first two are places we've always wanted to go. I added the swimming with sharks for Greg. I am not a fan of this, nor do I really want him to swim with sharks, for fear that the shark would somehow get through the cage bars and gobble him up! So we'll see if that one ever gets crossed off! Well that's all for now! I hope everyone has a great first week of September! ~Becky |
